Vallecitos Trek (trek along the valleys)

This five days trek takes place at 2400 – 3500 meters above sea level in the north of the “Calchaquies valleys”. During the tour, you will appreciate the majestic colorful passes with Jurasic formations. You will cross mountains rivers and visit shelters hidden in rocks of a unique attractiveness. You will discover traces of the past through the petrography still printed on the rocks and the sea fossils of the old seas that once covered parts of this region. Finally, you will marvel at the magnificient beauty of Calchaqui valleys and its snow covered peaks of over 6000 meters above sea level.

Grado de Dificultad: Las jornadas en estos caminos combinan moderadas y fuertes caminatas, que normalmente toman entre 6 y 8 horas diarias. Eventualmente se cruzan ríos de montaña.
